Wow, hey guys! Long time no post. But today I'm here to write about, possibly, one of the best weeks I've had to date. On week November 26th- 30th, I attended year 11 leadership camp at QCCC Mapleton! Which is in the Sunshine Coast Hinterlands and is quite a lovely little place. A bitch to get to though haha.

Anyways, I felt the actual hype for camp about a month prior, so I wasn't that excited when the day came around and was still in disbelief that it was actually happening. Mingy drove me and Nhung to school that morning and I'm pretty sure I had the biggest suitcase haha /strong over-packing. Everyone was filed into the sports centre not long after and we all just chilled and played cards really. Highlight of the morning was definitely when Lily was like to us: "Hey guys, look at Meet! He looks so depressed. Probably missing his curry" HAHAHA. Oh and another highlight was of course giving Mly some 'brownie' action.

Spent the 2 and a half hour bus trip there with Lily as my partner playing cards, listening to music, admiring the trees and at one point joined in with this word food game mly, Lisa and Terry were playing!

Lily made a vlog as we were going up this steep hill and at one point she thought we were there so she yelled out "YES WE'RE HERE" and was full excited but nek minnit... only reached the town of Mapleton. BUT, once we did arrive our initial reactions were "Wtf, we paid $360 to stay here?"

• After the luggage was unloaded everyone went to eat morning tea, which was really just some dry ass cake and cordial. LIKE REALLY DRY CAKE/BISCUIT. Stood around with most of the group and had a lovely time teasing mly about brownies.

• Had a welcome talk
• Grabbed our luggage and ran for our dorms out of excitement afterwards! Well, me and Mly really only wanted to get the good beds hehe. We ran in the opposite direction of our room though haha, and found out that there weren't that many people in our room, despite it being the largest which was so good! We even had aircon and so many spare beds! Left our luggage, did our beds then went off for lunch! 

 As the camp is usually used as a church camp or something, before every meal we had to say grace, which for this first meal was incredibly weird because like, most of our group is buddhist... so we all just sat there staring at everyone. Lunch was so good! But people like Mly, Anna and Stacey weren't feeling the sausage roll so they came up with ways to try get rid of it eg. pretend to drop it under the table or rip it apart LOL.
 

After lunch we went back and got changed for our first activity! I was in group 5 and was lucky enough to be with Lisa, Jenny T and Mly :) Our instructor's name was Nathan and Ms Fyfe was our teacher supervisor!


Upon the first meeting of our group, we found our instructor holding up a huge sign which he ended up giving to Lisa, but seeing as that mole is short, that didn't work out well so she gave it to Aisea who went hardout in efforts to attract our other group members haha. He was fully swinging it around and yelling so loudly, it was so funny already.

Our first ever activity was the giant swing! To get there we had to walk through the forest and this crazy suspension bridge! It was fun and scary at the same time because people kept jumping on it and you had to try hard to keep your balance. It was so funny because Orlando was apparently shitting his pants trying to get across thanks to Aisea.

Once we reached the area, Nathan started off by telling us all the 'boring' stuff but kept throwing in the word 'DIE' so that we'd pay attention. By that point I had already deemed him to be cool, hehe. Clark went first because he paid the height out which made everyone go "OOOOOOH" haha! Some other highlights of giant swing were:

• When the mole was shitting her pants but did it anyway! Proud of you ;)
• Alex getting pushed aside by everyone LOL. I swear, me and Lisa were always like to Alex, "Oh, yeah you're next Alex! Just do it!" But just as he got handed the helmet, someone else would put themselves out there to go, or just get the helmet HAHAH. Eg. Kevin Thanh! Alex was about to put the helmet on when Kevin Thanh comes up and gives his snapback to Alex to hold. It was such a "BITCH HOLD MA SNAPBACK" moment haha. Then Alex accidentally dropped the snapback on the dirt, and I looked over and he was licking his thumb and cleaning the dirt off. I was like, WTF LOL and he was like SHHHHHHHH. Then out of nowhere Mr Kav is like "I don't know what's worse, the dirt or the spit" holy shit it was so hilarious!
• Me and Lisa discussing how we think we know people's names but they don't know ours, but nek minnit... there were 2 guys in our group whom we couldn't even recall seeing them around the school HAHA, but we found out their names eventually :)
• When Aisea and Orlando were complaining about the harnesses and helmets being too small, which resulted in one of Aisea's memorable quotes "SUCK IT IN" LOL and "WORK EHTTTTT" 
• When Holly and Nathan got into a debate about how Holly should give the swing ago, and of course Holly won but still as someone in the group yelled out "Where's the popcorn?" - popcorn worthy moment 
• HAHAHAH me and the mole again talking about "split something" and a harness and wondering how that was gonna work
• Griffin letting go of the cable and swinging and yelling in pain because his balls were hurting/squished from the harness LOL. Nathan even warned us about "packing it" correctly and also how we should piss before harnessed activities to prevent "rain". I swear Griffin needed an ice pack for it or something. 
• Encouraging everyone! The team spirit was amazing. When everyone went up we'd all yell their names and other stuff, but when it came to Claudia we were like "YEAH YOU CAN DO THIS" nek minnit "Please don't cheer for me" and it was quite awkward but we gave her fairy claps instead :) 
• Of course I felt the need to form a love line between Nathan and Ms Fyfe, ya know, just for the week's entertainment! I could feel the chemistry LOL. When she was climbing the ladder, we'd dub their convo to be something like "I'm scared, what if I fall" "Then you'd fall into my arms. Dw, I got you baby" HAHAHAH IT WAS SO FUNNY. 
• When Orlando achieved his fear! It took so long to get him to go, and might I add the occasional dissing, but it was all worth it when he let go of that cable and SQUEALED haha! 
• Dirt fights with the girls. LOL. THAT WAS MY FAVOURITE SHIRT YOU CUNTS. 

• When Holly got a bullseye!
• Kevin Thanh getting 'attacked' by a bug omg, the thing flew around him and he went crazy and chucked his bow and arrow down and then Nathan told him to stand still so that he could whack it and nek minnit the bug lands on his crotch area and Kevin Thanh was like "STUFF THIS" and legged it, it was hilarious!
• More love lines! Ms Fyfe was noob at archery and when she was standing there I swear her and Nate exchanged glances, so yes, more dubbing "Come over and help me" Then Lisa was like to me "Oi bro, I think he's married, he's wearing a ring?" and I was like "... NO! He can be single for a week then" hehe.
• Out of nowhere Lisa starts laughing like a maniac and she told me that Aisea was like to Nathan "SIR YOU FINK YUR SO COOL? STEPPIN ON DEM CONEZ?!" HAHAHAH OMFG IT WAS A HAD TO BE THERE MOMENT OR SOMETHING BUT DAMN! So after that we kept looking at Nathan's feet to see that he really did, step on a lotta cones. So much so we tried to get a photo like the retards that we are but we kept laughing and couldn't get a worthy shot :( 
• Us girls started out pretty good so Ms Fyfe was like "Cmon boys, at this rate only the girls will be eating dinner" so we sorta had a battle of the sexes, but eventually the guys won. 
• After awhile Nathan brought out the swinging targets! He swung one and it came off the string lewl nice. Then our group was being a retard and were all like "AIM FOR THE STRING, WE'LL BE LEGENDS" oh and, our milk bottle must've been possessed or something but it was swinging in a circular motion like 'bitchez idgaf I do what a want' LOL. I managed to hit it once which was cool.
• There was a group 3 which only consisted of Ms Fyfe and Jenny, so they battled it out infront of all of us with the guys making all sorts of remarks against Ms, mainly Clark and Orlando wanting to battle her HAHAHA. There was a showdown between Ms Fyfe and Orlando and what they said to her was so sad but funny! She managed to beat him once! 

After archery ended everyone ran back for showers and god damnit this one girl took for freaking ever! But anyway, got ready for dinner and he had butter chicken and rice! It was so damn good. There were too many of our group to sit at one table so throughout camp we had to sit at 2/3 different tables.



After we finished eating our food we decided to muck around a bit, or, have some fun with sabotage. Mly left her drink unattended so someone decided to put salt in it and when she drank it she looked so horrified and gave us all some dirties heheh. Me and Nancy got sick of our dessert so we played scissors paper rock to see who had to eat the icecream with pepper and salt. I owned her so badly LOL.

Then it was time for games night with only some of the dorms! Me and Cindy wore matching shirts wooo, and I think it's safe to say that games night was probably one of the biggest highlights of camp for me simply because it was so fun and it gave you a chance to work as a team with other people :)
